2004 was a year without a Bash. Mostly because the staff and fans were too busy spending their time and money following their favorite band around on tour. But that doesn't mean that MetalliBash 2005 wasn't on our minds! A local chapter of the Metallica Fan Club called the Invisible Kids was launched to help organize the many volunteers that have come forward to help. With members from all over the world, the door has been opened for anyone who wants to be involved to have a hand in the planning of this unofficial fan convention.
One of the most successful bashes to date!
MetalliBash 2005 is now in the history books. This time held at the Presidio, the government installation where Metallica first began recording the album St. Anger
Some clubbers hit San Francisco earlier in the week to take in some sight-seeing and baseball games, but by Friday we were ready to rock! Thanks to IFC Films and Q-Prime , that afternoon we were treated to a free showing of the movie "Some kind of monster" at the Red Vic, a very cool little theater in the Haight. It was great to see it on the "big screen" once again.
