Okay read carefully. When I first bought the house I noticed that the house used baseboard heating...no biggy. But what was akward was that there were two thermostats. One to control bedroom temps, and one for living quarter temps.

When you say electronic thermos, is that the same as programmable ones?. If the problem started right after you replaced them then I would say that ther is the problem. Make sure the control inside is set on gas burner. You can check the system by shorting
