Is the Injen air filter heat shield any good?

I want to buy a heat shield for my ram air intake, is the Injen heat shield worth the money or is it just a waste of $50?

heat shields don't really do much. the intake is still inside the engine bay and a shield really can't stop that much heat. i have dynoed my old car with and without a heat shield and there was no noticeable difference, both driving and on the dyno
